Valentine's
After work, I went to the YMCA and read part of this kinda dumb New Yorker article about tortoises whilst I was sweating and huffing. Came back home and sat in the front stairwell with Samuel and ate half of a cheese pizza in darkness, then began work on recording my solo album of slow jams and love ballads. Be on the look-out for that hot number to drop in the next 4-6 weeks.

Dreamt last night that I was sitting around in a dim room drinking wine with a few friends and Joan Didion, old Joan Didion. She was telling us in a hushed voice about her husband and her, back in the 1950s and early 1960s, registering in hotels under fake names and taking off their wedding rings when they would make love. I’m a lot more grossed out by this now than I was in the dream.
